This Wednesday was the premiere of Beneath The Darkness in Los Angeles. Let me tell you I think 2012 really agrees with Stephen, doesn’t he look even hotter than last year?

With the release of the movie coming closer (January 6th. World Premiere January 4th), there’s a new trailer out.

I have added a new still image from the upcoming movie Beneath The Darkness.
It hasn’t been released on theatres yet, but it won’t be long until you can enjoy Beneath The Darkness in your own house thanks to Image Entertainment.
Both formats (Region A/1) will include behind the scenes and the trailer as bonus features and subtitles in English and Spanish. Release date is Tuesday February 28, 2012. Pre-order your copy of the DVD or the Blu-Ray today.
The soundtrack; including songs by Dennis Quaid and The Sharks and director Martin Guigui, will be available from January 10th but can already be pre-ordered on Amazon.
BENEATH THE DARKNESS is a teen thriller in the style of Disturbia, with high school kids pitted against a psychotic villain in a community where adults refuse to see one of their own is a serial killer.
The villain (Dennis Quaid) is a well-respected mortician in a town where he was once a legendary high school football star. But among the kids he is legendary for a more sinister reason – rumors that his house is haunted. The truth is more evil and much more dangerous – the town leader murdered his wife and her lover when he caught them having an affair, and now has secretly set up house with his wife’s embalmed corpse.
The local hero is a flesh-and-blood monster who buries his victims alive, a sociopath who befriends adults and police while openly flaunting his murderous intentions to the teens. He will kill anyone who threatens to expose him or his now-perfect marriage.
As you already know, Beneath The Darkness will have its world premiere during Austin Film Festival this month. But don’t worry if you can’t attend, because it’ll premiere nationwide a few months later.

Beneath The Darkness will make its world premiere during the 2011 Austin Film Festival during October 20-27.
Director Martin Guigui and cast Dennis Quaid, Tony Oller, Amee Teegarden, Stephen Lunsford and Brett Cullen will be in attendance.
Dennis Quaid stars in Martin Guigui’s psychological thriller which is said to be in the vein of Disturbia.
Image will release theatrically in November followed by digital, home entertainment, VOD and PPV.
The story centres on intrigue, rumours and modern hauntings in a small town as high school children are pitted against a villain in a community where adults refuse to see the dangers right before their eyes.
Bruce Wilkinson wrote the screenplay and Ronnie Clemmer, Scott Mednick and Bret Cullen produced.
Image’s chief acquisitions officer Bill Bromiley announced the acquisition here and closed the deal with the film’s representatives.
